Fastrack   Fastrack is the name adopted to the new high quality, high frequency bus based local public transport system that is operating within Kent Thameside linking existing centres with a series of brownfield development sites in the Thames Gateway. Fastrack is an innovative, Government endorsed solution to help unlock the potential of this key development node within Thames Gateway. Fastrack is not just a single or even series of individual routes – it is a new approach to provide an integrated public transport network. The key to its success is its priority for public transport over other traffic at traffic signals, bus lanes and wherever possible segregated track. Fastrack did not appear over night, it will be growing incrementally and as the network develops, the operating arrangements will simultaneously develop.
