It isn’t possible to drop a ready-made community into place. Communities develop of their own accord. Our responsibility is to see that everything is in place to make this possible.

This entails attractive, well-thought-out public spaces ideal for meeting and interaction: extensive facilities, from sports grounds and community centres to restaurants, bars and clubs, enabling people to meet, mix and build their own sense of place. The redevelopment will combine well designed housing, a vibrant public realm and new business infrastructure, all working together on a sustainable site three times the size of Hyde Park.

Excellent new transport links will also be an essential part of the transformation of the area, with the new rail link at Ebbsfleet International Station taking you to London in just 17 minutes from 2009, and a high priority rapid transit system, Fastrack, connecting the whole of Ebbsfleet Valley.

Springhead Park is the first of nine distinct villages together forming the Ebbsfleet Valley regeneration area.
